Life guards were everywhere so I felt that the swimmers were safe. The lines weren't too long and the park was clean and well maintained. They loved the water rides and enjoyed the thrills of the rides. The activities in the lodge were definitely too young for them but they found lots to keep themselves busy. The girls had a fantastic time at that waterpark and running around the hotel and arcade. The room was huge and accommodated 4 tweens with their 4 moms. We used a groupon and this made the price a little more reasonable for us to stay there. This isn't Disney! If the pricing was more reasonable, I would probably consider bringing my family again. Also, the website doesn't show the pricing for any of their attractions, which makes it hard to budget. It may sound like I am being a cheapskate, but when the family is on a budget, and the resort is around the corner from a bunch of restaurants that are the same food and cheaper, it shows how much Great Wolf wants to squeeze every dime out of a family. Ideally $15 for the wand and it includes the quest would be reasonable. When the kids want to do the MagicQuest, we have to pay $15 for a wand and then another $15 to do the quest. A puny buffet is $20/person, when a Golden Corral, which is near by and 2-3 times larger is only $10. For example, when purchasing a pizza at Hungry as a Wolf, a 2 liter of Coke is $4, where you can get one at a gas station, which is literally around the corner from the resort for $1.50.
The prices reflect the managements desire to take advantage of the family.
